1. Math Teacher Needed / Native or Near Native Speaker (Mexico City)

American school in Mexico City is now accepting applications for a math teaching position in middle and high school. In order to be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements: 1. Native or near native speaker of English. All classes for math are conducted in English. If the candidate is not a native speaker, TOEFL results may be required. 2. A university degree from the United States, Canada, the UK or the Republic of Ireland. The degree must be in the subject for which the candidate is applying to teach. Candidates with degrees from Latin American universities may also be considered provided they meet the language and degree requirements as specified here. 3. Teacher certification from a state department of education in the United States, a provincial department of education in Canada or the appropriate accrediting agency in the UK or Republic of Ireland. Latin American candidates must be licensed by the government of their country of origin or the Mexican secretary of public education 4. At least three (3) years of experience teaching children between the ages of 12 and 19 in a classroom setting. 5. These are NOT ESL teaching positions. ESL teachers cannot be considered for these positions. ESL teachers with no other certification or license do not meet the requirements. 6. Candidates who meet these qualifications and who are currently residing in the Republic of Mexico will be given first consideration.
