The web team currently consists of a Senior Editor, a Producer/Designer and an editorial and syndication assistant and an Interactive Business Affairs Manager. Prior to this new role being created, a part-time technical development consultant was contracted and will be available to provide a handover. As with all small teams, it is essential for all members to be strong team players with a willingness to work until the job is done. Due to the nature of our business, occasional weekend working is required. The Developer is called on to: Monitor site performance and ensure the site runs as effectively and quickly as possible Build new elements of the site Amend existing elements of the site to suit design changes and business requirement Restore the site if it fails quickly and efficiently Advise on future development work Work with third party companies and agencies to secure the integration of new content feeds/content items Manage the server relationship and ensure we remain within contractual agreements in terms of storage and bandwidth, while ensuring we opt for most cost effective solutions Ensure any development of the site is undertaken with SEO in mind Support the internal team to ensure deadlines and business objectives are met Provide input into company-wide technology solutions, including the automated generation of performance reports.
